These photographs are of children living in orphanages and slums in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The demand for orphanages in this country is so high that only those children in the worse possible situations are taken in. The underprivileged children living in neighboring slums are serviced by a nonprofit organization which provides classes and monthly stipends to cover the most basic needs for 125 families in the area. All of these establishments depend heavily on foreign sponsors for funding. Foreign volunteers provide English, Art, and Music classes in order to develop opportunities for future advancement.

Prints will be editioned and available for purchase. A large portion of the proceeds from every print will be sent to the orphanages and the Shanti nonprofit which works in the slums. Any one time donations you would like to make, monetary or otherwise, would also be sincerely appreciated. You may also wish to become a sponsor for any of the non-profit organizations serving these children. Alittle bit goes a loooong way.
